TIRAUMEA
TENNIS CLUB OPENING OF THE SEASON. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Tiraumea Tennis Club was held in the Tiraumea Hall. The following committee was elected:—Patron, Mr R. Harman; president and club captain. Mr N. Hislop; vicepresidents, Messrs Hansen, Hay, Scott Raleigh, Campbell Raleigh, and G. Laing; secretary and treasurer, Mr B. Wright; committee, Mrs R. Harman, Miss G. Harman, Mrs Laing. Messrs D. Curtis, J. Hansen, J. Hay. J. Duncan and F. Herbert. It was decided to open the season with a Yankee tournament on Labour Day. There was a discussion about enlarging the court and it was decided to leave arrangements in Mr Hansen’s hands.
