The Wellington Racing Club’s Spring meeting opened in dull, threatening weather, with a high westerly wind. There is a large attendance and the track is in good order. TAITA HANDICAP. sf. 1/ 1 Par Avion, 8.10 (Broughton) 1 10/10 Flying Spary, 7.0 2 3/ 3 Golden Moon, 7.6 3 Won by half a length; two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.2. WAINUI HANDICAP, Im. Lady Tinkle, 8.7 (W. Broughton) 1 Old Bill, 9.5 2 Nigger Boy, 8.6 . 3 Taurangi was fourth. Time, 1.41 J. RIMUTAKA HANDICAP, 6f. 5/6 Harina, car. 7.6' (R. G.
