The peaches and nectarines should be sprayed with lime sulphur, one in 120, as a precaution against ! brown rot. Stone fruits which have set too thickly should be judiciously thinned. Make an inspection of all newly-planted fruit trees to make sure that they are secure Jand not suffering from want of moisture. FLOWER GARDEN. Plant out chrysanthemums and dahlias in prepared beds. Prune the spring-flowering shrubs as they pass out of flower.. When the spring bedding plants have passed their best, dig and manure the beds for the summer occupants. Most half-hardy annuals can be planted out now; zinnias, asters, marigolds petunias, lobelia, salvias and phlox Drummondii all make a good show.
