MASTERTON STOCK SALE
FAT SHEEP PRICES DECLINE. A sharp decline in fat sheep prices was a feature of the Masterton stock sale today. There was a large yarding of store and fat sheep. Bidding, within restricted limits was fairly keen from a good bench of buyers. A wether auctioned for the Red Cross Funds realised 275. It was announced that there would be no sale next week on account of the Carterton Show. The Associated Auctioneers quote as follow: — Pigs: Weaners, 20s to 27s (good). Sheep: Fats, ewes, 14s 9d, 16s 9d, 17s Bd, 19s; heavy, 275, 335. Wethers, 235, 245, 25s 6d; heavy, 275, 335; Southdown ewes, 21s 6d.
