Mrs Burling, of Woodville, is spending a holiday at Waitarere Beach. Mrs M. Scott, of Hukanui, has been appointed sole teacher at the Kakariki School. Mrs F. Roberts. Bunny Street, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Misses Ives and Carter, of Wellington, are the guests of Mrs A. A. Vaughan, of Pahiatua. Mr and Mrs W. Adamson, Cole Street, Masterton, have left for Nelson, where they will in future reside. Miss M. E. A. Cave,-of the Wellington Education Board’s relieving staff, has been appointed assistant teacher at the Alfredton School. Mrs D. A. McMaster,. Featherston, who has been spending a holiday in Auckland, is staying a few days in Rotorua on her way back to Napier. Miss Elizabeth Frater, formerly of Masterton, has returned to Auckland after spending some weeks with Miss Peggy Sutherland at Martinborough. Miss M. J. Ross, of the Tinui School, has been appointed assistant teacher of a special class at the Berhampore School, Wellington.
