♦ Outstanding Meeting at Masterton FORM SHOULD BE KEPT IN MIND (BY "THE GRAFTER”) The Masterton Racing Club is to be congratulated on the success of its Spring meeting. Fine weather, excellent arrangements, a good sandard of horse and. some thrilling racing made the meeting one of the best ever held in the long history of the club. The gathering also provided a good indication of form for the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting at Trentham. Followers of form will doubtless keep their eye on winners at Masterton when making their Trentham selections, bearing in mind that gallops would improve the form of a number of those who just failed to fill places. There are several Opaki trained horses who should more than pay the expenses of their trip to Trentham. The form of The Ring, Defy, Valiant Lady and Cheerful' Lady referred to on Friday in these notes justified public support, and they will doubtless be kept in mind for race meetings in the immediate future.
