COMPREHENSIVE MERGER PROPOSED. STATEMENT BY BISHOP ABE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) TOKIO, October 21. The Bishop of the Japanese Methodist Church, the Rt. Rev. Yoshimune Abe, said thirty of the present Christian denominations will be merged in a single organisation. He denied newspaper reports that missionaries would be requested to leave.
