CHURCH SERVICES
The service to be held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms tomorrow by the Masterton Baptist Fellowship, will be conducted by the Rev. I. Keith-Ewen, of Wellington. Mr Ewen is well known because of his long and prominent association with the Baptist Church. The opportunity to hear him speak from the pulpit should attract a large congregation. All communicants are asked to join the newly confirmed members at Holy Communion at 8 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church tomorrow. The annual Fellowship Breakfast will follow the service. A special children's service will be held at 11 a.m. Canon Sykes will be the preacher at 7 p.m. The Rev. V. W. Joblin will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni. and Archdeacon Rich the afternoon services at Rangitumau and Kopuaranga. The services at the Methodist Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. H. S. Kings. The subject for the morning service will be "Shouldering the Burden," and in the evening “The World’s Greatest Invitation.” The Young Men’s Bible Class Mission Band will conduct the service at Kuripuni Mr C. R. Goudge will be the preacher at Mount Bruce. The choir will conduct a choral service at the Hospital at 4 o'clock. The Te Ore Ore Sunday School will celebrate its eight anniversary at 2.30 p.m. The service will be held at the new meeting house. A special feature of this service will be the singing by the Maori scholars. Mr I. Muir. 8.A.. will be the preacher at both services in Knox Presbyterian Church, Masterton. tomorrow. The I morning subject will be "Spiritual things are spiritually discerned” and the evening “Acknowledging God in all our ways." Afternoon services will be conducted at Matahiwi at 2 p.m. Te Whiti at 1.30 p.m.. and Te Wharau at 3 p.m. The services at the Salvation Army barracks tomorrow will be suitable to the young people's anniversary, and will be conducted by Major Armstrong. The children will take part in each service during the day. and will sing bright, happy songs under the conductorship of Mr S. Mason. On Monday night, commencing at 8 o'clock, the children will give their annual demonstration.
