ENEMY TRAWLER
SUNK BY BRITISH LIGHT FORCES OFF COAST OF FRANCE. OTHER VESSELS ESCAPE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.28 p.m.) RUGBY, October 18. An Admiralty communique states: — “While carrying out a patrol off the coast of France on Friday afternoon, cur light craft sighted three large enemy trawlers. The enemy was immediately attacked and hits were scored on the rear ship, which sank. The proximity of the enemy shore defence prevented a further pursuit. No damage or casualties were sustained by our vessels.” ________
