Mrs H. G. Cullen has returned to Pahiatua from a holiday spent in Hawke’s Bay. Mrs H. H. Dawson, Blenheim, is visiting her sister, Mrs G. Holmes, Sussex Street, Masterton.
Mrs John McMaster. Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs C. M. Wright, Church Street, Masterton. The death has occurred of Mrs Beatrice Yeo, wife of Mr Frederick G. Yeo, Taradale. Mrs Yeo, who was in her forty-eighth year, was keenly interested in musical and dramatic circles, being a talented artist. The death has occurred in Hastings of Mrs Rachel Gore, aged 82. Mrs Gore was a daughter of the late Mr Robert Stuart, who was the first Mayor of Napier, holding that office from 1875 to 1878. She spent a considerable portion of her life in Napier, where she was well known to many residents of long standing. Her first husband was the late Mr Ulick Burke, manager of the Napier branch of the Bank of New South Wales. She later married Mr Arthur Gore, Wellington.
