GERMAN E-BOAT
SHELLED AND PUT TO FLIGHT. BY BRITISH LONG-RANGE GUNS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, October 17. Long-range guns shelled a German E-boat in the Straits of Dover this afternoon. The E-boat fled into mist oil Cape Gris Nez, after several shells had failed perilously close. A Dornier flying-boat was escorting the E-boat.
