SENT TO NEW ZEALAND TROOPS. SOME IMPRESSIVE FIGURES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. In the course of an address to the Londoners’ League last night, Mr Hayden, secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board, said figures made available by the Postal Department showed that during September alone, the posting of letters, newspapers and parcels to members of the New Zealand forces aggregated a weight of 65 tons. A total of 34901bs of letter main was handled and 48,7301bs of newspapers. There were 22,545 separate parcels, totalling 94,4781b5., all sent privately by relatives and friends to individual addresses.
