STATE HOUSING

MINISTER INSPECTS LAND AT MASTERTON. An inspection of land at Lansdowne and Solway, under offer to the Government for State housing purposes, was made this morning by the Minister of Housing, Mr Armstrong, and the Director of Housing. Mr G. W. Albertson. An opportunity was also taken of inspecting the State settlement block near Cornwall Street. After lunching with the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, at the Midland Hotel, the Minister and party proceeded to Napier.
