SHEEP AND PIG PRICES FIRM. • The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on the Pahiatua sale yesterday: A medium yarding of sheep, dairystock and pigs were offered to a fair attendance of local buyers. Dairy stock depreciated a little in value, while sheep and pigs were firm on late realisations. Quotations: Dairy heifers £lO, £9 15s, £9 10s to £9; later calvers, £8 10s. £8 5s to £7 12s 6d. Dairy cows close to profit. £l2 10s, £l2, £ll to £lO 10s; later calvers, £9 ss, £8 15s to £8 10s. Yearling Jersey heifers, £6. £5 10s. £5 5s to £4 10s. Jersey bulls 2-yr,. £l3 10s, £l2, £ll 10s, £lO to £9. Sheep: Ewe hoggets (shorn), 25s 6d; wether hoggets (wooly, med.), 23s 3d; fat ewes (shorn), 235; b.f. hoggets (fat), 33s 3d. Pigs: Weaners. 30s to 265: small sorts, 20s.
