POLLED ANGUS BULLS
ANNUAL BREEDERS’ SALE AT DANNEVIRKE CHAMPION BRINGS 800 GUINEAS. AMOUNT GIVEN TO LONDON FUND (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, This Day. At the annual breeders’ sale of Polled Angus bulls today the champion bull, offered on behalf of Mr D. G. Grant of Mangatoro, Dannevirke, sold for 800 guineas. The bull was purchased by Mrs J. May, of Matapihi, Waipawa, and the proceeds were donated by Mr Grant to the London Distress Fund. A yearling, sold by Mr Grant, realised 275 guineas and a yearling bull, sold by Mr J. E. Hewitt, made 240 guineas.
