MR BEVIN’S ESCAPE
BOMB SHATTERS BEDROOM WINDOW ONLY SUPERFICIAL'DAMAGE DONE. MINISTER RETURNS TO BED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, October 15. The Minister of Labour (Mr Ernest Bevin) had a narrow escape, while sleeping, from a bomb which dropped outside his bedroom window and shattered the window. Mr Bevin returned to bed after learning that the damage was superficial.
