SIAMESE HOSTILITY

DEMONSTRATIONS AGAINST FRANCE. DENIAL OF CO-OPERATION WITH AXIS. BANGKOK, October 14. Anti-French demonstrations continue. Large crowds in the streets of Bangkok urged the Government to present an ultimatum to France for the return of the Indo-Chinese frontier districts. The Minister of Publicity, Mr Vilas Osthanonat, denied a report from Vichy that Thailand was co-operating with the Axis to help Japan to keep the Burma Road closed. He recalled that Thailand had just exchanged the instrument of ratification of the nonaggression pact with Britain.
