McARDLE—WINGATE. A pretty wedding took place in the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church on Saturday, when Miss Leta Aileen Wingate, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. G. Wingate. Opaki, was married to Mr Alexander Price McArdle, of Raglan. The Rev. D. McNeur performed the ceremony and Miss Margaret McNeur officiated at the organ. The bride was charmingly attired in a gown of pale pink silk velvet cut on simple lines. The bodice gathered into a high waist line and was finished with a Peter Pan collar and a row of buttons at the back. The skirt fell in graceful folds to form a train. The veil cf pink tulle was held in place with a coronet of pink daisies. The bride was attended by Miss Leonora Malmo as bridesmaid, and Mrs Kevin Groves as matron of honour. They wore frocks of sapphire blue cobweb lace over satin and carried posies to tone. Mr Kevin Groves acted as best man and Mr John Wingate as groomsman.

After the ceremony the bride's mother, assisted by Mrs McArdle, mother of the bridegroom, received her guests at the Country Women’s Club. The bride and bridegroom left for the north, the bride travelling in a teal blue suit and hat. with tan accessories.
