OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS

THE PARK LAKE (To the Editor) Sir—Walking through the Park I see that the lake has been allowed to dry up ready I suppose to allow of the weeds, etc., being cleaned out. This is a job that should have been done long ago. I hope that the paddling pool and the children’s sand pit are also attended to, as at present the pool looks as though it had not been touched (I was going to say for years). The sand pit is overgrown with weeds and the sand (well it is not there). I should very much like to know whose job it was to look after it, and why it has been so neglected.—l am, etc., JEREMIAH. Masterton, October 14. The Town Clerk, Mr G. T. O’Hara Smith, states that the matters referred to in the above letter are seasonal jobs which are now being attended to.
