Here we will fight, and no Power on earth will take it from us.” / RUMANIAN SLOOP SUNK BY RUSSIAN DESTROYER LONDON, October 14. In Bucharest it is officially stated that a Russian destroyer sank a Rumanian sloop which unwittingly entered prohibited Russian waters in the Black Sea on Friday. The destroyer rescued the crew and passengers of the sloop. The incident is regarded as closed. BRITONS IN RUMANIA ACCUSED OF POURING ACID ON OIL TANKS. LONDON. October 14. Five of the detained Britons in Rumania, including Mr Miller are understood to be specifically charged with pouring acid on oil storage tanks and spoiling huge quantities of oil destined for Germany, necessitating chemical testing of rail-tankers before their departure to Germany.
