COSY THEATRE
“SANTA FE MARSHAL.” The final screening of this thrilling Hopalong Cassidy - romance -togetheiwith the dramatic "Parole Fixer,” will take place this evening. “KEEP FIT.” Tomorrow’s “family programme” is headed by the laughter riot “Keep Fit,” starring the inimitable George Formby, in one of the funniest films ip years. Can patrons imagine Formby set to win the “Keep Fit” campaign against all-comers. The final scene when Formby wins the final boxing contest defies description. Never was laughter so valuable as in these limes and never has a more liberal dose been given by the screen. “Tall Timbers,” the associate feature, is a modern, dramatic romance, filmed in nature's stronghold, the Valley of the Giants, with the most astounding action climax ever unleashed. “Tall Timbers” is a delightful adaptation of Captain Frank Hurley s great Australian romance, a tender love story that grows to strength and loveliness in a fiery cauldron of unleashed passions as rival companies clash in a fight for a big timber contract, and men daily flirt with death when treacherous methods result m many “accidents,” including the sensational explosion of the timber train bridge and the mysterious cutting of the steel hawser of the "flying fox which carried the huge logs across the valley. A splendid cast is headed by Frank Leighton, Shirley Ann Richards, and Frank Harvey. On all sides this is declared to be Australia s finest p_oduction from both entertainment and technical standpoints. The whole programme is outstanding and one of the finest the theatre has ever presented.
