OLD AMERICAN SHIPS
PURCHASED BY BRITISH FIRMS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) WASHINGTON, October 11. The Maritime Commission has accepted a bid of 4,640,000 dollars from four British firms for nineteen vessels which were built during the World War and have been laid up for many years.
