TRAINING RADIO MEN

FOR AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE. Training of radio operators for the Royal Australian Air Force has been extended on a large scale by an arrangement between the Air Board and the Marconi School of Wireless, which is conducted by Amalgamated Wireless, Australia's national wireless organisation. Under this scheme, the Marconi schools in Sydney and Melbourne will give to several hundred men this year the same training and tuition as is ordinarily given only at Point Cook (Victoria). In order to save time the training is intensive, although the six months’ period gives the trainees a standard of efficiency considerably higher than that required for wireless operator-gunners under the Empire Air Scheme.
