CHURCH OF EPIPHANY
LADIES’ GUILD. 8 KNITTING CIRCLE ACTIVE. At the fortnightly meeting of the Church of the Epiphany Ladies’ Guild and Patriotic Knitting Circle held at the residence of Mrs C. Braggins. Mrs F. Whitton presided over a large attendance of members. Final arrangements were made for a gift afternoon on October 22, and the annual garden party held on Saturday, November 23. During the past four months, the Knitting Circle handed in 50 scarves, 60 pairs of mittens, 40 hussifs, 20 pullovers and 2 balaclavas. The meeting closed with the serving of afternoon tea and with a hearty vote of thanks to Mrs Braggins.
