THREE CASUALTIES
CAUSED BY ITALIAN RAID ON MERSA MATRUH. GUNS HIT ONE PLANE & DAMAGE TWO OTHERS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 1.2:> p.m.) RUGBY, October' 6. A. Cairo communique states that yesterday Mcrsa Matruh. in Egypt, was raided by enemy bombers, escorted by fighters, causing three casualties. Litt damage was done. Anti-aircraft inc hit one plane and is believed to have damaged two others. There is nothing to report on other fronts.
