Mrs H. B. Maunsell, of Masterton, is visiting Napier. Mrs Foley, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs Guy Udy, Hukanui. Mrs A. F. Laurence has returned to Hukanui, from a visit to Martinborough. Mrs F. Guinane, of Hamilton, and formerly of Hukanui, has been the guest of Mrs F. E. Webb. Mr and Mrs Alex. Meikle, of Masterton, visited Napier recently to attend the funeral of Mr P. Hayden, brother of Mrs Meikle. i Mr and Mrs J. A. Barnett, who have been residents of Pahiatua for the past’ 16 years, have left for Dunedin, where they intend to make their future home. The death has occurred in Napier of Mrs Elizabeth Williams, late of Hastings, aged 82. Mrs Williams was a daughter of the late Mr A. Firth, and was born in Halifax, Yorkshire, England. With her parents she sailed for New Zealand in the ship Parsee, landing at Auckland in 1872. They later lived for many years in Hawke's Bay, and Forty-Mile Bush. She eventually returned to Hastings, where she lived till the time of her death. She is survived by five daughters and five sons.
