FEATHERSTON
ANZAC HALL TO BE A MILITARY HOSPITAL. I (“Times-Age” Special.) The Military and Hospital Board authorities will lake over the Anzac Hall as a military hospital as from October 7. Arrangements have been made for the accommodation of 24 nurses and 2 doctors. It is understood that the hospital will be used to accommodate sick men who are being trained in the Featherston Camp. BOWLING OPENING OF SEASON POSTPONED. The Bowling Club will not open the season on Saturday owing to the green being too wet for play. Personal. Mr Phil Clark, who enlisted in the Taranaki district, left yesterday with the Featherston quota for the Trentham Camp, having joined up with the ivied ical Corps. Mr A. P. A. Clapshaw left today for the Levin Air Force Camp where he has been appointed to the clerical division. Donation to Patriotic Fund. The sum of £5 5s has been donated to the Patriotic Fund oy the Young Farmers’ Club.
