BURGLARY AT WAINGAWA

FREEZING WORKS OFFICE VISITED. NIGHTWATCHMAN DISTURBS INTRUDERS. Burglars broke into the office of Messrs Thos. Borthwick and Sons, Waingawa, on Wednesday night. They forced the outside door and were tampering with the strongroom lock when a nightwatchman heard the noise. He entered the office, but the intruders had disappeared. Nothing was taken.

The incident occurred between 7 and 8 o’clock.
