MARCH THROUGH SYDNEY. APPEAL FOR LORD MAYOR’S • FUND. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY,, This Day. About 6,500 air troops and 100 Air Force men will march through the city tomorrow, when an “Australia Day” appeal for the Lord Mayor’s Fund will be held. An official request to citizens not .to give beer or other gifts to members of the A.I.F. was issued by the Eastern Command headquarters. Officers declined to say whether people who gave beer to the jroops would be prosecuted and finedA as happened on a similar occasion in New. Zealand. It is learned, however, that no instructions for such action have been given in the Eastern Command.
