SPANISH SHIPS
SUNK BY ITALIANS. MERCHANTMAN ADDED TO LIST. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. October 1. Another Spanish ship has been torpedoed. and sunk by an Italian submarine. This is a 4,290-ton steamer, the Monte Montvayo. She was torpedoed og Cagliari, in Sicily, on Saturday. Four of the crew were killed. The Spanish trawler Almirante Jose de Carranza, was torpedoed and sunk by an Italian submarine on September 19, there being only one survivor. Another Spanish ship, the Cago Tortose, of 3302 tons, was torpedoed and sunk about the same time. There 'is no news of any survivors.
