The Japanese-dominated Nanking Government has announced that it is not renewing Britain's 10 years’ lease of port facilities at the Liukwang Islands, near Weihaiwei. which expires on September 30. but Chiang KaiShek's Government has announced a 10-year renewal. The British China squadrons use the islands for a summer station.
