WOMEN’S DIVISION
’PLANE FUND APPEAL. CLOSING TOMORROW NIGHT. The appeal being made by the branches of the Women’s Division of the Farmers 'Union throughout New Zealand for £5OOO, to present a ’plane to the British Government closes tomorrow night. An assurance has been given in writing by the Government that the money donated to the fund, will be used for the purpose stated, so that anyone wishing to help in this direction may do so in full confidence that the money will be spent in the way desired. So far about £7O has been received in donations by the Masterton branch of the Division, but it is hoped to have at least £lOO in hand before the appeal closes tomorrow, so that the branch can compare more favourably with the amount raised by other branches. Donations may be sent to Mrs A. C. Gawith, Gladstone. Mrs C. H. McKenzie. Rcnall Street. Masterton, or to Mr R. H. Williams, secretary of the Farmers’ Union, Perry Street, Masterton.
