OFFICIAL FAREWELLED
RETIRING ON SUPERANNUATION.
Local members of the staff of the Department of Agriculture met yesterday to farewell Mr G. B. Williams. Supervising Meat Inspector, who retired on superannuation after 40 years' service, the whole of which was spent with the Department. Mr Williams was in charge of meat inspection at the Masterton Abattoir during the past two years.
In congratulating Mr Williams on his long period of service, Mr J. G. McFarlane, on behalf of those present, also referred to the happy associations they had all had with Mr Williams in Masterton and extended to him and to Mrs Williams their best wishes for a long and -happy retirement.
Mr Williams thanked members for their kindly expressions which he would carry with him in his retirement.
