A ROUGH BOUT KATAN BEATS BLOMFIELD. FIGHT IN RING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 30. A spectacular and at times rough ,wrestling contest between John Katan, Canada, and Lofty Blomfleld, Auckland, ended abruptly, Blomfleld having a penalty fall given against him for pushing the referee over when the latter was attempting to separate the pair during the exchange of jolting into which he considered punching was being introduced. Before this each man had obtained a fall. The pair continued to fight in midring after the referee’s decision, the police having to intervene.
