EKETAHUNA

MOTHERS’ UNION MONTHLY MEETING YESTERDAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Mothers Unton was held yesterday there being a good attendance of members. The service in St. Cuthbert's Church was conducted by the Vicar, the meeting which followed being presided over by Mrs L. Ives. Afternoon tea was provided and then Mrs E. M. Simmers gave an interestingtalk on life in Australia. "Brisbane was the city chiefly dealt with and the description of this place was much appreciated. Back country life in the early days of Australia was also described. Mention was made of how modern means of transport, etc., had meant so much to isolated people. Mrs Simmers was warmly thanked for her address.

The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames W. Olsen, H. Higginson and Miss M. Anderson.
