TABLE TENNIS
WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION B GRADE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT. HIGH STANDARD OF PLAY. The Wairarapa Table Tennis Association’s B grade championship tournament was held in Masterton last night. All the rounds provided keen competition, and the standard of play was high throughout. The finals resulted as follow: — Men's singles: B. Dick beat J. Danieyy, 16-21, 22-20, 21-18. Ladies singles: Miss N. Lochore beat Miss Quinn, 11-21. 21-17, 21-11. Men’s doubles: Messrs Dick and E. McNamara beat Cheetham and McGovern, 21-17, 21-19. Ladies’ doubles: Misses Lochore and M. V. Greenlees beat Misses Wickens and Gleeson, 21-12, 9-21, 21-14. Combined doubles: W. Greenlees and Miss Lochore beat Dick and Miss McLeod, 21-18, 21-6.
