SMASH & GRAB RAID
MADE ON JEWELLERY SHOP IN GREYMOUTH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, This Day. Watches and rings, valued at £250 to £3OO were stolen in a smash and grab raid on the jeweller’s store of Mr John Tennent, on Mawhera Quay, early this morning. The plate glass show window was smashed sufficiently to allow the insertion of an arm to reach trays containing expensive wristlet watches and signet rings. Cheaper articles of jewellery in the window were not touched.
