INVASION TALK

NAZIS TRAINED TO USE WATER SKIS PROGRESS AT FIVE MILES AN HOUR. OFFICIALLY INSPIRED STATEMENT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) BERLIN, September 26. An officially inspired description of army training for the invasion of Britain claims that hundreds of specialists are distributed among the units along the continental coast. They were trained on drill grounds north-westward of Berlin immediately after the French capitulation, and were selected from all branches of the services on the basis of a questionnaire in which 63 questions covered athletic prowess, knowledge of languages, technical skill and acquaintance with British geography and affairs. Unmarried men under 23 years of age were preferred. Ten thousand men have been trained to use water skis constructed of cork, on which it is possible to skate across water at the rate of five miles an hour.
