TRINITY COLLEGE EXAMINER
VISITING MASTERTON THIS WEEK. Dr.C. Edgar Ford, examiner for the Trinity College of Music (London), in pianoforte, organ, violin, singing and elocution is conducting examinations in Masterton today and on Friday. Dr Ford has travelled extensively and, as the representative of the College. has visited many parts of the Empire. He graduated as Bachelor of Music (New College. Oxford) in 1908, and qualified for the Doctorate two years later. Among other distinctions that he holds are those of F.R.C.O. and F.T.C.L.: he is also an Associate of the Royal Philharmonic Society and a Member of the Royal Society of Teachers. Dr Ford's compositions include choral and orchestral works, songs, part-songs, and pieces of piano, organ and violin. Of these, some 60 or more are published, many of which are in frequent use at recitals, festivals and competitions.
