The Japanese army's newspaper, “Sinshunpao,” ‘commenting on the position in Indo-China, says: “Should a misunderstanding arise between Washington and Tokio, leading to a crisis, Japan will give a blow to any opposition regardless of what happens.” FRENCH RESISTANCE STATEMENT IN WASHINGTON. WASHINGTON, September 24. The French Ambassador asserted that the French forces in Indo-China were determined to resist the Japanese regardless of the odds against them.
