PUBLIC NOTICES. WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council,'held on the 19th day of September, 1940, the following resolution was passed by way of Special Order: —
(1) That the Council proceed to raise from the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand a Loan of Ten thousand pounds (£10,000), or so much thereof as may be required for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under "The Rural Housing Act, 1939.” (2) That such Loan be called "The Wairarapa South County Rural Housing Loan, No. 1, 1940, of £10,000.” (3) That the Council repay half-year-ly in reduction of the Loan an amount equal to the sum of all amounts which are expressed to be payable to the Council during the half-year ending on each halfyearly date by the agreements entered into with the Council by the various farmers to whom the Loan moneys are to be advanced. (4) That interest at the rate of Three (3) per centum on unpaid principal be paid by the Council, calculated on the daily debtor balance of the Council in the accounts of the lender. (5) That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the charges in respect of such Loan, a Special Rate of One-twenty-first (l-21d) of One penny in the Pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Wairarapa South. (6) That the cost of raising the Loan and the first year’s interest and sinking fund shall not be paid out of the Loan. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the above Special Order will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council, to be held on the 17th day of October, 1940, i at the County Offices, Memorial Square, Carterton.
