BASKETBALL GAMES DRAW FOR TONIGHT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The draw for the competition basketball games, which are to be played in the Drill Hall, Pahiatua tonight is as folows: —Hamua v United, at 6.30 p.m.; Konini B v Eketahuna, 7.15 p.m.; Tuis v Stars B. 8 p.m.; Stars A v Konini A. 8.45 p.m. Personal Items. Air Pilot Bruce Berney is on leave, and is spending a few days with his brother. Mr J. R. Berney. Aircraftsman H. George is visiting his mother, Mrs S. M. George, Allredton. Sudden Death at Akitio, The death occurred suddenly at Akitio on Saturday of Mr William Milne, a shepherd employed by Mr Brian Armstrong on the Ora Station. Mr Milne, who was about 50 years of age. had been in the employ of Mr Armstrong for 15 years. He had been cut mustering early in the morning and complained of feeling unwell. He went to bed, and when his mates brought him tea early in the afternoon, they found that he had died. The cause of death was heart failure. The funeral took place at Akitio yesterday.
