ROTARY CLUB

ADDRESS BY MR J. H. CONLY. There was a good attendance of members at the weekly meeting of the Masterton Rotary Club held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms today. The president Mr r. F. Fagan, was in the chair. The speaker of the day was Mr J. 11. Conly, M.A.. of Wairarapa College, who gave an address on events in Northern Africa during the past sixty years. Mr Conly received an attentive hearing and his remarks were followed with evident interest. “On behalf of my fellow Rotarians I wish to congratulate Mr Conly on his very able address." stated Mr E. J. Brown in moving a vote of thanks to Hie speaker. Mr Churchill had said they would be hearing of things of great moment in the Middle East in the near future and after hearing Mr Conly, said Mr Brown, ho was sure that they would be able to follow events with greater clarity. The motion was carried by acclamation.
