APPLAUDED BY PRIME MINISTER IN PLACE OF ALARM. PREVENTING DISRUPTION OF INDUSTRY. (Received This Day, 10.50 a.m.) • LONDON, September 11. Mr Churchill applauded the new system which factories, newspaper offices and other establishments are adopting to prevent disruption during air raids. Watchers are being posted on roofs to warn when danger is imminent. The sirens will be regarded as an alert and not an alarm signal.
