INCREASING THE FIELD FORCE. NEW RECRUITING SCHEME. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON. September 10. ‘'The Times” Simla correspondent says the Government has begun recruiting and equipping the first 100,000 under the scheme for increasing the strength of the Field Army. Recruits are enrolling at the rate of 15,000 a month. The present scheme will supplement a former one, under which 53.000 men were recruited.
