PACIFIC TIES
U.S.A. & AUSTRALIA DEFENSIVE AGREEMENT. MAY BE DESIRABLE IN FUTURE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, September 10. The chairman of the House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Sol Bloom, endorsed the strengthening of Australian and American ties. He added that at present there was no necessity for a defensive agreement similar to that between Canada and the United States/ but new developments might make it desirable in the future.
