WAR NEWS CABLES
DELAYS IN TRANSMISSION FROM LONDON. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) SYDNEY, September 10. Australian newspapers generally are complaining of a heavy delay in the cables from London covering air raids and other important items. Some are taking up to 10 hours in transmission. Similar delays which have been experienced in New Zealand in the receipt of London cables recently have occurred mostly in the last two days. A message from London received at an early hour of yesterday morning after reporting that the proximity of bombers bn Sunday night had forced newspaper staffs io abandon work, consequently causing the printing to be
"extremely late,” added that Press cables had been delayed for some hours.
