Mr and Mrs W. Hoar, of Cambridge Street, Masterton, are visiting Hawke’s Bay.

Mrs Staples was a Wellington guest at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton, yesterday.

Mrs W. H. Saunders, of Essex Street. Masterton, has returned from a visit to Paekakariki. Mr and Mrs G. Noad, of Lyall Bay, were visitors to Masterton during the weekend.

Mr and Mrs McDonald, Wellington, were guests yesterday at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton. The death occurred in New York a month ago of Mrs Plimmer, wife of the formerly well-known actor, Mr Harry Plimmer, Wellington. The late Mrs Plimmer (nee Ena Shanahan, Brisbane), was also on the stage for a time, having been a member of the Brough Comedy Company, and later a member of the Plimmer-Hall Company, which toured New Zealand in 1915. Mr and Mrs Plimmer have been resident in the United States for more than 20 years.
