ESPERANTO

MASTERTON CLUB MEETING. The weekly meeting of the Masterton Esperanto Club was held last evening. the vice-president. Mrs J. McNab presiding over a satisfactory attendance of members. Working under the guidance of the secretary. Mr W. H. King, a combined class devoted an hour and a half tc the conversational practice of Esperanto and to the finer points of grammar. During the proceedings various subjects were introduced and all members participated to good advantage in the discussion. Mr W. J. Beresford presented an original article entitled “Bees as a Hobby,” this type of item being a regular feature of the club meetings. A short lesson centring around Esperanto prepositions was given with the aid of the blackboard by Mr King, who also answered gen- 1 oral questions during a brief period prior lo the conclusion of a very enjoyable and instructive evening.
