MISSING FOR MONTHS
NORWEGIAN MOTORSHIP TIRRANNA i PROBABLY VICTIM TO RAIDER IN INDIAN OCEAN. CREW OF 60 & 12 PASSENGERS. (By Telegi’aph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 'l.O p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Minister of the Navy, Mr Cameron, said he had known for about two months that the Norwegian motor-ship Tirranna was overdue on a voyage from Melbourne to Mombasa. It is feared that the Tirranna was either captured or sunk by an enemy raider in the Indian Ocean. The Tirranna carried a crew of sixty and twelve passengers, including Lieu-tenant-Commander S. Rasmussen, who was married to a New Zealand girl only a few months before he sailed. Nothing has been heard of the vessel since she left Melbourne on May 30.
